Privacy Policy

relogica Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") respects the privacy of users ("you" or "user") of our smartphone application "ienote" ("the App") and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information in the App.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects the following information:

Account Information

  • Apple ID Authentication: When signing in with Apple ID, the Apple ID identifier used for login
  • Display Name: Display name set when signing in as guest or joining a family
  • Device Identifier: An anonymous ID to identify the device

Family and Shared Data

  • Family Information: Family name, invitation code, member list
  • Calendar and Events: Event title, date/time, category, members, recurrence settings, etc.
  • TODO: Task title, due date, assignee, category, recurrence settings, etc.
  • Shopping List: Item name, category, purchase status, purchase date/time, etc.
  • Notes: Note title, text content, speech transcription results, comments, etc.

Device Feature Access

  • Location: We collect approximate location data to provide weather forecasts (only when in use)
  • Camera: Used for scanning QR codes for invitation codes
  • Microphone: Used for the voice input feature and the note speech transcription feature. For voice input, audio data is converted to text on the device. For note speech transcription, audio data is sent via our servers to an external AI service for text conversion (see "3. Handling of Data in AI Features" for details). For note speech transcription, the recording continues even when the app moves to the background. While recording, a Live Activity is displayed continuously on the lock screen and Dynamic Island to indicate that recording is in progress
  • Photo Library: Used for setting event images and profile images

Usage Information

  • Push Notification Token: Device token required to send notifications
  • Usage Data: App usage (ad display, feature usage count, etc.)

2. How We Use Information

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • Providing App functionality (sharing and managing calendar, TODO, shopping list, notes)
  • User authentication and account management
  • Sharing data among family members
  • Sending push notifications
  • AI-based automatic category detection (shopping items, events)
  • Displaying weather forecasts based on location data
  • Improving services and developing new features
  • Responding to inquiries

3. Handling of Data in AI Features

The App provides AI features to enhance user convenience. When using AI features, the following data is sent to an external AI service.

Data Sent

  • Text converted from voice input
  • Audio data recorded through the note speech transcription feature (split into 30-second chunks and sent via our servers)
  • Images uploaded by users (for extracting event information)
  • Titles and category information of shopping items, events, and TODO items
  • Note text content (for Markdown formatting and summary generation)
  • Product URLs (for extracting product information)

Destination and Processing Method

The above data is processed by the following external AI services:

  • OpenAI, Inc.'s AI model (Whisper): Used to convert recorded audio data to text in the note speech transcription feature. Audio data is sent to the OpenAI API via our servers (AWS).
  • Anthropic's AI model (Claude) through the Amazon Bedrock service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS): Used for voice input text analysis, image information extraction, automatic category classification, note text Markdown formatting and summary generation, etc.

Purpose of Processing

  • Note speech transcription (converting audio data to text)
  • Extracting structured data (shopping items, events, TODO) from voice input text
  • Extracting event information from user-uploaded images
  • Automatic classification and suggestion of categories for shopping items, events, and TODO items
  • Markdown formatting of note text
  • Summary generation of note text
  • Extracting product information from product URLs

Data Retention

The data sent is used only for real-time processing by the AI model and is not retained by the AI service after processing is complete. Amazon Bedrock does not use customer data for training AI models. The OpenAI API does not use data sent via the API for model training. Audio data is deleted after processing on our servers is complete.

User Consent

Use of AI features requires prior consent within the App. Consent can be withdrawn at any time from the App's settings screen. If consent is withdrawn, AI features (automatic category classification, voice input analysis, image information extraction, etc.) will no longer be available.

4. Data Storage and Management

Data Stored on Servers

The following data is stored on our servers:

  • Account information
  • Family and member information
  • Calendar events, TODO, shopping list, and note content (including speech transcription results)
  • Images uploaded by users (profile images, family cover photos, event images, etc.)

Data Stored on Device

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • Login status
  • App settings (appearance mode, etc.)
  • Voice input usage count (including count added via reward ads)

5. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

  • Technical processing by service providers described in this Privacy Policy:
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Data storage and processing, automatic category detection, voice text analysis, image analysis, product information extraction, note text Markdown formatting and summary generation through Anthropic's AI model (Claude) via Amazon Bedrock
    • OpenAI, Inc.: Text conversion of audio data in the note speech transcription feature
    • Apple: Authentication (Sign in with Apple), push notifications
    • Google: Ad serving (Google AdMob), holiday data retrieval (Google Calendar API)
    • Unity Technologies: Ad serving (Unity Ads)
    • RevenueCat: Subscription (paid plan) billing management
    • Apple WeatherKit: Weather forecast data retrieval
  • When required by law
  • With your consent

When a third party views or edits note content via a share link issued by the user themselves, this does not constitute "sharing with third parties" under this Privacy Policy and is treated as data sharing by the user themselves. The issuance and management of share links are the user's responsibility.

6. About Advertising

The App displays ads through Google AdMob and Unity Ads. In ad delivery, these ad platforms may use cookies, device identifiers, etc. For details, please see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Unity's Privacy Policy (https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy).

On iOS devices, you may be asked to choose whether to allow tracking in accordance with App Tracking Transparency (ATT).

7. Data Deletion

Users can delete their data in the following ways:

Leaving a Family

You can leave a family from the App's settings screen. When you leave, you will no longer have access to that family's shared data. The family's data itself continues to be available to the owner and remaining members.

Deleting Account

Account deletion can be performed from the App's settings screen. When you delete your account, data associated with your account stored on our servers will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If children under 13 use the App, please ensure they do so with parental consent and supervision.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy due to changes in laws or the addition of new features to the App. The revised Privacy Policy will become effective when posted on this page.
